| Abundant Anoles | |
| These Green Anoles are a common sight here in Hawaii. They can be seen in resorts, apartment complexes, airports, just about anywhere there are plants. They are often incorrectly called geckos or chameleons, but are actually a member of the iguana family. They do have the ability to change in color from a brilliant green to a very dull brown which is why they are sometimes erroneously grouped with chameleons. Green Anoles grow to about five to eight inches in length and are a welcome inhabitant of any yard because of their healthy appetite for insects and spiders.
