Wild Jackson's Chameleon
A friend of mine spotted this wild Jackson's Chameleon while we were hiking Swinging Bridges in central Maui. We harrassed it with our cameras for a few minutes before continuing up to the waterfall.

Jackson's Chameleons are incredible creatures that were introduced to Maui in the 1970s. There are now a number of strong populations of these animals in various areas of the island. As with other chameleons, these lizards have the ability to change color, move their eyes independently, and they have a prehensile tail that they can grasp with. But it is the three horns that really make them stand out.
