| Rarely Encountered 7-11 Crab | |
| This crab used to be fairly common in Maui waters, but in recent years is becoming quite scarce. I have only encountered two myself, with considerable time spent in the water. This one measured about ten inches across the shell and had a claw the size of my fist. It wasn't very cooperative at first, it kept wedging itself under reef.
