These magnificent animals are truly one of the most amazing things about Maui. They are protected, so people are prohibited from touching them. But, if you are patient, you will find that they are curious creatures that will tend to come in for a closer look. In some areas of Maui they are extremely common, but they can be seen anywhere around Maui and the other Hawaiian Islands.
